The Hooded Merganser is the smallest of the Merganser family. Its distintive hood and plumage makes for a striking pose, especially during mating season. This example is being carved from Basswood that was taken from a fallen tree and has been in storage for over 10 years. It has some natural checks and worm holes that will give it a unique, aged look. I will create an antique finish to compliment the natural condition of the wood. Overall length will be approximately 12" and width of 5.5" (life sized).
